What if I told you that your issue with finding the right church is you? You’d probably get angry with me. But you may calm down when I’d add that that’s the issue for all of us, because we desire “me” centered community from church.

Christ corrected the vision of community at the last supper when he commanded the disciples to not make themselves the center of community but Himself. If you’re discouraged or dissatisfied with your church community maybe it’s because you’ve been looking at your community through your vision, not Christ’s.

I’m looking forward to exploring the true essence of Christ centered community and how it’s needed in our broken, divided and hurting state of our world.
May we seek it, build it and invite the world to it as it’s the only form of fulfilling community...one where Christ is at the center not us.

That kind of community is ESSENTIAL.
