MINISTRY OPORTUNITIES

Get Connected Today!

God promises us each a gift and asks us to be good stewards of that gift (I Peter 4:10). Through serving, we grow in our relationship with Jesus and connect with others in our church family. Contact the front office to get started and discover how your gifts fit into the body of our church.

Bibles for Marines

Just as God goes before us, Marines go before us to protect our freedom. We put on concerts at Camp Pendleton, supply soldiers with Bibles, and share the message of the Holy Spirit changes the lives of our Marine Corp.

Bookstore

We are committed to nurturing the life of our congregation through our products, services, and experiences. Be a part of our team by assisting in inventory, rearranging and creating displays, and continuing the success of our bookstore. All positions are flexible.

Café

We’re a team that has fun serving Jesus as we serve coffee, pastries, and meals. Whether a cashier, barista, runner, coffee maker, baker, grocery shopper, food prepper, bar ware keeper or menu designer, we create a warm and welcoming environment for our CBC family and guests during regular services and occasional special events.

Discipleship Ministry

Our purpose is to encourage the men and women of our church to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, to become better equipped in their understanding of God’s Word, and to share their faith with others.   To this end, we offer adult Bible-based classes and individual Discipleship Partnering, as described below.

Children's Ministry

We bring the good news to kids through worship, interactive Bible teaching, prayer, and fun activities. Join our team by becoming a check-in assistance, Thursday night Children’s Church volunteer, Sunday School volunteer, or VBS volunteer.

Communion Team

We are privileged and honored to connect God’s people with Christ by serving our CBC family the body and blood of Christ. We remember John 6:51 as we serve others, interact with leadership, and prepare and facilitate communion.

Couple's Ministry

We provide activities and resources that build healthy marriages through small groups, seminars, retreats, and fun events. Join our team as an activity facilitator, small group leader, or a small group host.

Facilities

We want to provide a safe, welcoming, and clean environment for those who want to draw closer to the Lord. We have many small trade-specific jobs and painting projects, and we always need help keeping the grounds around our building clean.

Front Office Team

We serve to create a warm, friendly, and inviting front office environment for members, visitors, and future members of our church community. Our opportunities involve representing CBC by answering phone calls before or after services, assisting those with questions, and informing people with up-to-date information. We also have available time slots throughout the week.

Helping Hands

We believe Colossians 3:12-14 calls us to assist and empower seniors, single moms, and widows. We provide transportation, errands, light chores/repairs, and visitation to help these individuals not only maintain their independence and safety but also their connection with the community and church body.

Hospitality Team

We provide delicious food and an incredible environment that allows people the opportunity to get to know each other while sharing a meal. Be a part of our team by helping us set up, prepare food, cook, and clean up.

Meals Ministry

We joyfully provide meals to those who are recovering from medical issues or personal crisis, and to those who have newborn infants. The opportunities we have are for anyone willing to prepare and deliver meals on short notice.

Men's Ministry

We prayerfully support and facilitate communication throughout CBC’s community of men through small groups, monthly breakfast, two yearly dinners with worship, and yearly retreats. Join our team as we put together these special events or help host a small group during our summer series.

Missions

The Great Commission says we are to go out and make disciples of all nations. Scripture also tells us that we are to live as Jesus lived. Come find out the opportunities we have for you both around the globe and right here in Capistrano Beach.

Moms of Littles

Sometimes, in motherhood, we forget who we are. At CBC, we provide a safe environment to build relationships and a sense of belonging for moms of littles. The opportunities we have include becoming a part of the hospitality team, events team, crafts team, and planning team.

New Ministries Team

Has God put a vision on your heart for a ministry idea? Talk to the New Ministries Team to see how we can help you start a ministry at CBC. Whether it is developing a ministry plan or helping you fine-tune your God-given vision, we want to give you the tools and support to further God’s Kingdom here on earth.

Prayer Team

We train our team to come alongside anyone who is need of prayer. Whether through the Prayer Room, the Prayer Chain, or At His Feet Prayer Group, we want those seeking prayer to experience the love of God. We provide training for all of our opportunities.

Production Team

We serve diligently behind the scenes to support key components of the church through lighting, sound, video, and creative elements. No training is necessary to join our team. You can serve as a camera/computer operator, sound technician, stage designer, and film-maker/storyteller.

Quilting Ministry

Provide comfort for those suffering from serious illness or trauma and encourage people to pray for one another. Each step of sewing a new quilt for someone who is suffering involves prayer over the recipient’s illness, recovery, and comfort. You don’t have to know how to sew to join our team as there are many ways to get involved. You can sew lap quilts, add ties to quilts, tie knots, and pray.

Red Door

We provide a safe place where students move beyond the faith of those around them and develop their own unshakable bond of trust in Christ. We meet throughout the week and travel often; and you can get connected by becoming a mentor, driver (trucks and boats), cook, mechanic, or a fundraiser coordinator.

Simon's Net
Simon’s Net Ministries is for everyone and provides our church family with another unique way to have a relationship with Christ, through the sport of fishing. Beside our church family we target disadvantaged youth in Orange County, as we want God’s love and joy filling the hearts of the young through this “hands on” fishing experience.
Feel free to contact me: Paul Jessup: SimonsNetFishing@gmail.com if you’d like to serve.
Hands On:  Come along with us on a trip  to teach and encourage our young fishermen.
Sponsor: Financially sponsor one of our kids. We sponsor children with physical challenges, underprivileged or from single parent homes.

The Bridge

Through our Christ-centered Twelve Step recovery ministry, we provide a worship experience and structured small group setting to defeat addiction, compulsion, and dysfunctional behavior through the healing power of Jesus. The opportunities we have are restricted to those in recovery. These include setting up food, coffee, and chairs before the Bridge, being a welcomer, and getting involved in the Bridge worship team.

The Tabernacle Experience
We travel across this great country of ours anywhere from 4 – 6 times a year providing churches and communities with a Life-Size Replica of The Tabernacle of Moses.  Our own church members have sidled up to this ministry by building and maintaining the integrity and quality of the Experience. We schedule a Spring & and a Fall Circuit. Prior to each season we empty our 22′ trailer and get to work repairing, cleaning, organizing, inventorying,  painting and finally repacking the trailer so we are prepared to hit the road!
If you’d like to be part of this ministry we can absoutley use your help!
We usually work 2-3 days getting everything ready.
Shalom, Jeanne
Welcome Team

We create a lasting first impression for people who visit our church family. We want everyone to encounter the love of Christ through our smiles. Join our team as a welcomer, usher, traffic coordinator, or someone who helps at the information booth.

Women's Ministry

We create community for women through seasonal small group Bible studies, worship nights, and conference retreats. Be a part of what God is doing in the lives of the ladies of CBC by hosting a small group, helping with coordinating events, or being a person who simply connects people to people.

Worship Team

We lead our church to the throne room through music. It is for his glory, not ours. With individual and diverse musical styles, skills levels, and backgrounds, we create a culture of honor within our team.
